New Mexico Black Voters Collaborative Launches GOTV Campaign
On Sept. 10, 2024, the New Mexico Black Voters Collaborative (NMBVC) held a press conference at New Mexico Black Leadership Council (NMBLC) headquarters to announce its Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaign. NMBVC is a collective of folks who have a common goal of increasing voter participation among eligible Black/African American voters and allies in the state.
NMBVC made a PSA commercial that’s airing on KOAT and social media, that highlights how community members can honor their ancestors’ legacy by voting. Voter registration drives will be popping up throughout the weeks leading up to the election. NMBVC will host a candidate forum at the NMBLC offices on Oct. 8. Another part of this campaign is to help you need to make educated decisions as you head to the polls.
