UpLift Chronicles' 2024 New Mexico Pride Guide

by Samantha Anne Carrillo

America's first Pride parade convened in New York City one year after the Stonewall uprising, on June 28, 1970. Ever since, the festivals and parades of Pride Month have celebrated lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer pride while also amplifying and commemorating the community's fight to enshrine their civil rights in U.S. law and culture. The struggle to end discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identification is ongoing. Whether you're looking to celebrate LGBTQ culture and identity, discover regional community or organize for the future in New Mexico, UpLift Chronicles' New Mexico Pride Guide has you covered.
